Within Red BEAM, it leads technological innovation trials applied to the blue economy and food security.
ADFMA – Association for the Development and Training of the Sea in the Azores
Notable for expertise in maritime training, sea safety, and unmanned vehicle operation. Within Red BEAM, it participates in the design and planning of the testing facility in the Azores and the consortium’s technological and training coordination.
ULPGC – University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
A leading institution in ocean research, renewable energies, and blue economy. Provides scientific knowledge and technology transfer experience to develop pilot projects, advise companies, and participate in defining workflows and specialized Hub training.
Centre for Enterprise Learning (Ghana)
A non-profit organization dedicated to business development and SME training in West Africa. Within Red BEAM, it collaborates in training, promoting blue entrepreneurship, and creating business synergies between Africa and Europe, contributing to the competitiveness of the African entrepreneurial ecosystem.
CETECIMA – Technological Center of Marine Sciences (Canary Islands)
Provides expertise in innovation, internationalization, and territorial cooperation in the marine-maritime domain. With broad experience in Interreg projects and West Africa, CETECIMA participates in technical coordination, support to third countries, and dissemination activities, ensuring knowledge integration among consortium actors.
IMar – Instituto do Mar (Cape Verde)
A public institution dedicated to oceanographic research and marine resource management. From the Ocean Science Centre Mindelo (OSCM), it contributes with its scientific infrastructure to the development of African testing facilities and knowledge transfer to the Macaronesia region, strengthening South–North cooperation in blue innovation.
Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands (CMC)
Represents the entrepreneurial network of the marine and maritime sector in the Canary Islands. With over fifteen years of experience in blue economy projects, innovation, and training, CMC fosters business participation in the network, promotes communication and professional training, and strengthens connections between institutions and sector companies.
AIR Centre – Atlantic International Research Centre
Based in the Azores, this is an international scientific cooperation organization focused on oceans, space, climate, and energy. In Red BEAM, its role is focused on studying the Macaronesian region’s potential as a collaborative development area for ocean technologies, defining strategies for new testing facilities, and transferring knowledge between Europe, Africa, and America.
FRCT – Regional Science and Technology Fund (Azores)
A public organization under the regional government responsible for promoting research and innovation internationalization in the Azores. Within Red BEAM, it coordinates strategic planning activities, maps business capabilities, and strengthens the innovation ecosystem, ensuring the Hub aligns with regional and European policies on technological development and sustainability.
ARDITI – Regional Agency for Research, Technology and Innovation Development
Through the Madeira Oceanic Observatory (OOM), provides expertise in ocean monitoring and the management of Madeira’s Free Technological Zone. With specialized teams and solid experience in applied research, ARDITI leads the offshore aquaculture pilot, implementing real-time environmental observation systems and contributing to sustainable marine management.
