Its expertise in designing and developing autonomous vehicles makes it a strategic partner for the project’s technological pilots. In Red BEAM, it designs and operates a modular unmanned surface vehicle (USV) prototype, serving as a platform for testing and validating emerging technologies.
PLOCAN (Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands)
Acts as the main partner and project coordinator. This unique scientific and technical infrastructure (ICTS) is a national and international reference in marine research and ocean technology testing. With over a decade of experience in managing European projects, PLOCAN provides technical expertise, its ocean testing facility, and leadership in blue innovation. Within Red BEAM, it manages technical and administrative coordination, consortium management, and activities related to marine renewable energies.
