What is RedBEAM?
RedBEAM is a network of testing facilities connecting the Canary Islands, Madeira, the Azores, and West Africa to promote research, development, and validation of new marine and ocean technologies.
Our goal is to create a blue innovation hub that strengthens public-private cooperation, enhances business competitiveness, and positions the region as an international reference in the maritime economy.
Funding
Approved under the 1st call for grants of the Interreg MAC 2021-2027 Programme and co-financed at 85% by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), under Priority 1 “Smart MAC – Improving business competitiveness through an innovative and smart economic transformation” and Specific Objective 1.1: “Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the deployment of advanced technologies.”

Specific Objectives

Promote collaboration and interaction between public and private actors within the RedBEAM cooperation space.

Develop pilots in real-world scenarios as case studies (define procedures and work models).

Evaluate results, define the business model, and develop the communication strategy of the distributed testing Hub.
