Red BEAM invites key stakeholders from West Africa and Macaronesia to participate in its marine innovation survey

The Red BEAM project, coordinated by PLOCAN, has developed a survey with the aim of collecting information from key stakeholders in marine renewable energy, aquaculture, and unmanned maritime devices.

The objective is to identify and understand the needs, priorities, and opportunities of stakeholders in third countries within the Interreg MAC cooperation area (Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Mauritania, Senegal, São Tomé and Príncipe).

The results will enable Red BEAM to:

  • Foster innovation in marine technologies,
  • Boost the regional blue economy,
  • Strengthen public–private cooperation, and
  • Increase the international visibility of local companies and research centers linked to the marine-maritime sector.

The survey results will contribute to the design of pilot initiatives, collaborative actions, and knowledge-exchange platforms, ensuring that the project addresses the most relevant needs and opportunities in the region.
